4 Bold Predictions for 2015-2016 Boston Celtics
#1: Marcus Smart Makes 2016 NBA All-Star Team
After an impressive end to last season, and an even more impressive Summer League, Marcus Smart has Celtics fans thinking the sophomore’s ready to take the league by storm. Smart’s improved his game and his confidence is soaring now that he’s established himself as a leader for this young Boston Celtics team.
Considering he averaged 24.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 7.5 apg, 2.5 spg, and 1.0 bpg in the Summer League, do you think that’ll foreshadow the numbers he’ll put up next season? Yes, the competition in the NBA is a lot tougher than in Summer League, but Marcus was far-and-away the best player when he was on the court.
- 1 offseason trade that sends Evan Fournier back to the Boston Celtics
- Boston Celtics: C&C thinks Mike Conley or Malcolm Brogdon trade must happen
- 2 Kyrie Irving trades that would be disastrous for the Boston Celtics
- Boston Celtics: Boston.com, NBC Sports both tab Duncan Robinson TPE option
- Boston Celtics Kevin Durant trade: Tatum out of question, Brown on table
He showed off his improved jumper, in addition to his increasingly aggressive style of play this summer before injuring his hand. We also heard alot about his great leadership skills and it sounds like Smart’s ready to become the face of this franchise. So for the first Bold Prediction during the 2015-2016 Boston Celtics season, I believe Marcus will cement himself as a top Guard in the NBA and make the first of many All-Star teams in his career.
