Well, it’s Thursday, Boston Celtics fans – time to start planning out your weekend, if you have not already done so!
Speaking of planning, it would appear as if the Boston Celtics are planning for life without Kevin Love. It was fun, thinking the Celtics were the frontrunners in the race for the All-Star, but Boston was always a bit of a long-shot and it seems as if Danny Ainge and company are fully aware of this fact.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that the Celtics are done trying to make deals this summer. Hell, Boston is still willing to be a part of a trade that involves Kevin Love, even if it means helping another team acquire the power forward:
The Boston Celtics still want Kevin Love, but would be willing to facilitate a three-team deal to send the star elsewhere, according to Sean Deveney of the Sporting News.
Deveney reported Wednesday morningthat the Celtics are among several teams looking for a way to benefit from Love getting traded to the likely destinations: Chicago, Cleveland, Golden State or wherever else. Obviously, Danny Ainge has been interested in acquiring the Minnesota Timberwolves star for a long time (this was a nice day). But if he realizes Love will likely land somewhere else — which every indication suggests — trying to capitalize on the move makes sense.
And with the acquisition of Evan Turner, you know the Boston Celtics are looking for a way to package Jeff Green and some other players into a deal that will bring something juicy to Titletown, right?
Jeff Green could be one of those roster casualties.
Scott Souza of MetroWest Daily News joined 98.5 The Sports Hub’s The Adam Jones Show Tuesday night, and he believes Jeff Green won’t be wearing green to start the 2014-15 season.
And going back to my planning theme, you’re crazy if you don’t think the Celtics are not already planning for life without Rajon Rondo. Here’s a look at the top ten likely destinations for Boston’s current point guard to wind up, either through a trade of free agency – if nothing, see if the number one destination doesn’t surprise you!
It’s been a quiet summer in Boston so far, but at least we have tons of rumors to make things interesting, right? We’ll keep following all of these stories for you, so you just get though your work day and start looking ahead to the weekend – it’s what we do here!
