Boston Celtics – Portland Trail Blazers: Fan Picks!

Welcome, Hardwood Houdini fans, to the first installment of my ever-popular Fan Picks thread!

In a nutshell, on game days I like to dedicate a post to the fans.  First and foremost, what I will do is throw out a handful of questions and have you, the fans, make some predictions.  Each set of predictions will have a point value assigned to it, and at the end of the night I tally up all of the points and see who had the highest score for the event!

These threads are also a great place to come together and chat with other fans before, during, and after the game, so I hope you’ll consider getting involved in the conversation and coming back on game nights to do it all over again!

Okay: here are the questions to consider for tonight’s game between the Boston Celtics and the Portland Trail Blazers:

1. I’m setting the over/under for tonight’s game at 200.5 points.  (I use .5 to avoid having ties.)  What do you think – will the Celtics and Blazers combine to score over 200.5 points tonight, or under that number?  (3 points)

2. Pick the leading scorer for each team.  Two points for each, and an extra 3 if you can pick how much they score.  Ten points is up for grabs here alone!

3. Pick tonight’s winner.  Three points, plus an extra five is you are within five point of the winning team’s final score.

I’ll get it started, but one is the loneliest number, so please jump in and make it a party in here!!!

I say the two teams will combine to score OVER 200 points. LaMarcus Aldridge and Jordan Crawford are my top scorers for the night, with 27 and 23 points, respectively. Finally, I believe the Trail Blazers will win, and will score 112 points when it is all said and done. It’s that simple – join in!!!!
