NBA Draft 2013: The Boston Celtics Draft Kelly Olynyk With the 13th Pick

The Boston Celtics have drafted Kelly Olynyk with the 13th pick in the NBA draft. The Celtics traded the Dallas Mavericks the 16th pick and two future first round picks for the 13th pick in the NBA Draft.

Olynyk is a 7 footer that can shoot the ball from the perimeter. He has the three ball in his game and can also play inside of the paint. He’s versatile in that he can dive into the paint and pop outside of the paint.

Olynyk was very efficient at Gonzaga this past season. He had a true shooting percentage of 67% and an effective field goal percentage of 64%. The Celtics will bring him in as they look to rebuild toward the future.
