According to the highly thought of twitter account of NBAdraft.net , the Celtics have made a draft promise to Dennis Schroeder.
Sources have indicated that the rumored promise to German PG Dennis Schroeder is with the Boston Celtics at the 16th pick.

Schroeder is a lightning-quick point guard from Germany. He has drawn many comparisons to Rajon Rondo because of their similar body type and athleticism. He stands at 6-2 but he has a 6-7 wingspan.
However, Schroeder is a much better shooter than Rajon. He shot 40% from beyond the arch and 84% from the free throw line in his league in Germany. Schroeder has compared himself to Rondo previously and is coming into the draft with a chip on his shoulder.
He’s been known as a hot-head at times, but that’s something a coach like Doc Rivers could work around if he falls to the Celtics at pick 16.
And there lies the issue. Schroeder is, indeed, a very good player. It isn’t likely that he will fall that far to the Celtics. The Celtics have an immense need at the back up point guard position, but Schroeder may not be there to fill it.
If he is, then he will indeed be warmly welcomed into the Celtics’ family.
