Ray Allen left Sunday’s game in the second quarter with what the team is calling a “Jammed” ankle. X-rays were negative and Allen contemplated returning for the second half.
“Right now there’s pain in the back of the ankle,’’ he said. “If I had my druthers, I would have tried to come back out on the floor and try to work through it. It feels better, but we’ll see by [today].”
The injury does not seem to be as bad as originally feared when fans watched Ray Allen gingerly walk off the floor with the assistance of head trainer Eddie LaCerte.
Allen will attempt to give it a go tonight when the Celtics play host to the Orlando Magic.
On the season, Allen is averaging 14.9 points per game while shooting .563% from three point land.
