Kendrick Perkins To Miss 2-3 Weeks

Oklahoma City center Kendrick Perkins (still sounds weird) will miss 2-3 weeks with a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee. The injury was originally thought to keep Perkins out 1 week, but this could just be the case of the Thunder playing it safe keeping Kendrick Perkins as fresh as possible for a post season run.

Said Thunder head coach: “I believe in our medical team, if they feel it’s two to three weeks then I’m comfortable with that. I just want to know when he comes back he’s ready to play at the level that he’s able to play at.”

Perkins is on pace to return mid to late March. Said Perkins: “I’m just here for the long haul, as long as I can get me some good games in in the regular season, get a good push going into the playoffs, I think I’m going to be all right.”
