Celtics captain Paul Pierce sprained his ankle in the waining moments of the Celtics 93-79 victory over the Toronto Raptors. Pierce seemed to roll his ankle after throwing down a one handed jam with just over a minute remaining in the game. Pierce limped to the bench and then onto the locker room. The injury does not appear to be serious but is worth noting given the state of the Celtics current injury issues.
Pierce led all scorers with a game high 30 points on 10 of 15 shooting.
