Shelden Pulls The "Get Celtics Fans Worried Alarm"

If losing three of the last four games weren’t enough to get Celtics fans worried then maybe the possibility of missing captain Paul Pierce for at least four weeks is. Today at around 3:30 PM EST Celtics big man Shelden Williams tweeted something that got Celtics fans all around the web worked up.

Via Shelden Williams Twitter Account:

Man when it rains it pours!!! Yall will find out what I mean soon!!!!

From the moment that “tweet” hit fans Tweet Deck’s and Twitter accounts people started speculating and worrying about what could be wrong. It just happens that today was the day that Paul Pierce was scheduled to have x-ray’s on his injured ankle. The first whispers have hinted that Pierce may have a broken ankle, but still nothing is concrete. We will make sure to keep you informed of anything else that comes out of this. Oh and by the way, thanks Shelden for making my blood pressure go up.

Update: At first David Aldridge, from and TNT, reported that the foot is broken and that Pierce will likely miss at least four weeks. Counter to that a more local, and reliable sourece, Gary Tanguay is reporting that the team does not know the extent of the injury. Danny Ainge said the following, “”The doctors don’t have all the information to make the decision. We expect to make an announcement tomorrow.” Check here tomorrow for more up to date information on the captains status.

For now here are some “tweets” from Celtics fans throughout the day on Twitter:
