Celtics Beat Ever Lovng Stuffing Out Of Nuggets

How ’bout them Celtics!  Goodness gracious great balls of fire!  Just picking up where they left off.  Picking up where they left off when the Big Ticket was around.  Picking up and playing defense.  Rough defense.  Tough defense.  Dare I say it?  Tenacious defense.

Last night, the Celtics crushed Denver.  Like my main man IDAK Alpha 12 always says, ” Crush!  Kill!  Destroy!”  The Celtics crushed, killed and destroyed Denver to the tune of 114-76.  Crushed, killed and destroyed Denver to the tune of the worst home loss in NBA history for a team that was 10-or-more games over .500 at the time of the game.  How about that?

How about this?   The Celtics won last night the way they always win.  They won playing defense.  Tom Thibodeau defense.  Tom Thibodeau, defensive guru.  Defensive maharishi.  Defensive swami.  In his nineteen seasons as an assistant, Thibodeau has helped his teams finish in the NBA’s top ten in team defense seventeen times.  Yowza!

Yes Virginia, Ray Allen was giddy in the zone.  Paul Pierce was sitting pretty in the zone.  But make no mistakes, last night, without the world’s best defensive player, the Celtics still played the world’s best defense.  They contested every shot.  They trapped in the corners.  They crashed the boards.  They rebounded, helped, switched, basically did everything that you expect your team to do on defense.  They simply dominated the Nuggets down that end of the floor.

As long as this team continues to get after it on defense, KG or no KG, it will be business as usual.  Tom Thibodeau business. Roll Celtics, roll!
