The writing is on the wall…there’s likely major changes coming to the Boston Celtics point guard position. It could mean that Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart are part of an Anthony Davis trade package. It could also mean the incumbents are punching a one way ticket out of Beantown.

The Boston Celtics must be preparing for change. No locker room that existed as theirs did ever runs it back. That change may be in the form of the top dog leaving the yard, but it could also mean the whole puppy mill is up and gone.

Translation: Kyrie Irving may be joined by Rozier on his way out.

Which could be a good thing given all of the turmoil. Losing such talented players hurts, especially proven playoff performers like “Uncle Drew” and “Scary Terry”. It’s the nature of the game, though. The NBA wheel continuously turns.

The next step in what may (or may not) be a short rebuild is replacing the duo. There’s several trades that can bring in a quality replacement, and there are a multitude of different directions Boston could go in for this search.
