Boston Celtics Daily Dish: Monday Mourning Edition

It’s back, Boston Celtics fans!

Back by unpopular demand, the work week has returned.  Too bad, really, because this weekend was so much fun.

C’est la vie.

You know, I used to like the Miami Heat – true story!  Mostly, I enjoyed watching the Heat play because of one of the fiercest competitors the NBA has ever seen – Alonzo Mourning.  Shaquille O’Neal may be one of, if not THE, most dominant centers ever to prowl the paint in basketball, but Mourning was a true warrior, battling not only his opponents, but the kidney problems that almost kept him from winning an NBA title.  Check out his acceptance speech as this weekend’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

And because I appreciate ‘Zo so much, I have gone ahead and shared with you all the top ten plays of his career.  Enjoy.

Let’s deal with some rumors that have popped up recently.  Is Ray Allen definitely going to play next season?  His agent says, “Hold that thought!”

The Indiana Pacers were trying to make a trade for Phoenix’s Goran Dragic, but it would seem that such a deal has been rejected as it stands.

And a big man that I know some Boston Celtics’ fans want to see Danny Ainge attempt to lure to Boston, Greg Monroe, has denied reports that Detroit offered him a lucrative five-year offer.  What is going in Detroit?!?

Bleacher Report took it upon itself to build the All-25-And-Under Team.  See who made the cut.

Finally, every team has needs heading into the 2014-2015 season.  Check out the biggest problem the Boston Celtics, as well as the rest of the teams in the NBA, have staring them in the face.
