2014 NBA Draft: Boston Celtics Pick Marcus Smart With 6th Pick In Draft

With the 6th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics have selected point guard Marcus Smart out of Oklahoma State.

Which means, of course, that it is time to start REALLY speculating about Rajon Rondo‘s future with the Cs.

This is great news for Marcus Smart, who felt very confident with the workouts he gave Boston.  And let me be clear: it’s good news for Boston Celtics fans, too.  Smart is tough, he’s a competitor, and he is a ball-hawking defender.  Sure, his selection is going to ignite Rondo trade rumors . . . but lest you forget, Avery Bradley is set to become a free agent this summer, and his price tag might be too much for the Celtics.

So the Celtics have made their first pick – but who will they select with the 17th?  And does Danny Ainge have any tricks up his sleeve?  Stay tuned!!!!
