Boston Celtics Look To Complete Season-Sweep Of Clevleand Cavaliers Tonight

The Boston Celtics are looking to end one streak, while extending another, as they head into the Quicken Loans Arena to face the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.

Boston enters this game hoping to avoid a franchise-record 14th straight road loss.  To do so, the Celtics will need to sweep the season series against the Cavaliers, and extend their current winning streak to two, courtesy of last night’s exciting win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Celtics got huge contributions out of Avery Bradley (22 pts.), Jared Sullinger (20 pts. and 7 boards) and Phil Pressey (1o pts., 13 assists and some feisty defense) in a game that saw all of Boston’s starters score in double digits.  The Celtics also got 12 points out of Kelly Olynyk, and let me tell you, they needed each and everyone of their players to step up, as Rajon Rondo sat out the game due to soreness in his lower left leg.  It was great to see Pressey be able to step up and fill in for Boston’s injured captain, but it would appear as if Pressey will be coming off of the bench tonight, as it is rumored that Rondo will be ready to start come game time (although the media notes list him as out, so who knows what is going on?).

Boston has won both of the games it has played against Cleveland this season, and has won six out of its last eight contest against the Cavaliers, including four of the last five games played in Cleveland.

Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.  Make sure you follow us on Twitter @HoudiniCeltics, and come back afterwards for my reactions to the actions!
