NBA Daily Links: Wild Wednesday Edition

Boston Celtics fans, are you ready?

This is it; today’s the day.  Last night may have been opening night for six teams in the NBA, but tonight is the main event: 14 games are going down tonight, meaning practically every team in the NBA will taking the hardwood tonight.  The race to the NBA Finals begins now, and while it may be a marathon and not a sprint, you better believe every team is going to want to come out of the gate hot.

Let’s get you all set up for the action!

Yesterday, I gave you links to each game preview.  You’re crazy if you think I’m going to do that for 14 games!  I will send you here, however, where you will have access to each and every game preview.

There’s been talk about how well the Boston Celtics will do this year, and whether playing with the roster they currently have is akin to tanking.   We all know tanking happens – but how stunning is it to hear an actual GM admit it?  [Sports Illustrated]

Ah, rumors!  Gotta love them – I’m sure they really help teams come together.  For example, this rumor that Doc Rivers would have quit the Los Angeles Clippers had a certain trade been nixed.  [Sports Illustrated]

While I’m excited about watching some of the Boston Celtics’ develop over the course of the season, there is no doubt that, right now, the rookie most of the NBA should be paying attention to is Orlando’s Victor Oladipo.  In case you didn’t catch him in action, here’s a review of his very first night in the NBA. [Bleacher Report]

Speaking of the Boston Celtics – the city of Boston is drawing plenty of inspiration from David Ortiz and the Boston Red Sox, and the Celtics are no different.  Read up on Jeff Green’s thoughts about the Sox and Cs. []

So get your grub, stock up on your favorite drink, and get ready to spend a few hours on the couch tonight – the NBA, and the Boston Celtics, are back!!!!
