Melo spent a majority of his time with the Celtics playing for their D-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws. Melo only played in six games for the Boston Celtics and wasn’t being used. It was apparent that he hadn’t made any progression in the D-League so they decided to move him.
Melo is being placed on the waiver wire and will likely be picked up eventually. Melo will be owed $1.2 million.
