Antoine Walker talks to CSNNE

Remember when Antoine Walker tweeted that he wanted to coach the Celtics? Well, that obviously didn’t happen. But Walker does have some tips for new Celtics head coach Brad Stevens.

Walker opened up to Gary Tanguay of CSNNE about a multitude of things. From his bankruptcy, his runs with Paul Pierce, Jeff Green, the shimmy and everything else. Walker and Tanguay don’t leave any stone unturned after this interview.

You can check it out right here:

What I found the most interesting is what Walker said about how the Celtics handled the Paul Pierce situation. He doesn’t think they were wrong, but he thinks that the Celtics should’ve let him hang around with the younger guys and be a leader on that team.

He likened his scenario to Reggie Miller’s situation right before he retired. I thought that this was going to be an option for the Celtics instead of letting Pierce go. We know how it happened, but what if the Celtics held on to Pierce? Would that be better for the roster going forward?

That’s something interesting to think about. But, hey, that’s how the dice roll when you can’t fade them.
