Boston Celtics Roster Numbers Have Been Given

Every Celtic aside from Vitor Faverani–who is currently playing overseas–now officially has a number. The roster going into training camp is set and it looks like there will be plenty of competition.

Rookies Phil Pressey, Colton Iverson and Kelly Olynyk all have their numbers. Phil Pressey will sport the number 26–he wore number on during his stint at Missouri. Colton Iverson will have the number 37.

Olynyk will sport 41 on the back of his jersey. I’m sure that will help draw more Dirk Nowitzki comparisons for him. He already has the hair, the height and the number. Now all he needs is the game to go with that. If Summer League was any indication–which it wasn’t–then Celtics fans can rest easy.

Other than that there weren’t any surprises on the number allocations for the C’s. New additions Marshon Brooks and Keith Bogans will sport new numbers. Brooks will be wearing 12 and Bogans will be wearing the number 4.

Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallace are going to sport their usual numbers, 43 and 45, respectively. There were no number changes among the Celtics who were on the roster last season.
