The Boston Celtics have waived Terrence Williams according to Yahoo! Sports.

This was likely going to happen anyway, but Terrence’s recent arrest likely triggered the move. With this, the Celtics create a bit more roster space and save themselves some money. Williams was going to get $200,000 in guaranteed money if he lasted past today.

Williams averaged 4.6 points per game and only played 13.3 minutes per game with the Boston Celtics this past season. He Joined the Celtics in February as a backup point forward.

Williams was arrested last month on gun charges. He allegedly threatened the mother of his 10 year old child with a gun.
