Doc Rivers Forgets Things Too

Doc Rivers had an embarrassing moment today. He showed a bit more of his human side than usual when talking about the New York Knicks’ season and their stake in the Central, er, I mean, Atlantic division.

Take a look at this quote from SBNation’s Celtics Hub today.   ”They earned winning the Central….or whatever division we are in” said Rivers.

No, this is not a subtle shot at the Knicks. This is seriously just Doc Rivers forgetting things like the rest of us. He went on to say the Knicks had one hell of a season–they really did.

The Knicks have improved a lot as a team since even last season’s first round loss to the Miami Heat. This isn’t the same team and they have a lot of different dynamics to go along with that. Carmelo Anthony is a better player and the roster has been tremendously upgraded.

A healthy Knicks team should have the Celtics on their P’s and Q’s whenever they face each other.
