Kevin Garnett Sits Out Celtics Shootaround this Morning

The Celtics are preparing to take on the true beast of the East. The Miami Heat are coming into the Garden riding a 22 game winning streak trying to make that 23. If they do make it 23, that’d be the second longest streak in the NBA’s history.

The attempt at the streak may just get a bit easier. Kevin Garnett sat out this morning’s shootaround and has been marked as a gametime decision. Garnett is the heart and soul of Boston’s defense, and is probably their best player with Rajon Rondo out.

Without Garnett, the Celtics have a long shot at beating the Heat–even longer than before. But there is still a chance that he plays. Doc Rivers said yesterday that he was 50-50. Obviously, things have changed today but they haven’t scratched him yet which is great news.
