Boston Celtics Rajon Rondo's Popularity Increasing: 6th in Jersey Sales

Rajon Rondo plays in a big market, plays for a great team, and is playing great basketball.

Why would anyone NOT want his jersey?

Rondo trails only five superstars in jersey sales (LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose).

He’s selling more jerseys than Dwyane Wade, the highlight machine that is Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, and arguably the best point guard in the league, Chris Paul.

It should be interesting to see if this popularity translates to a lot of All-Star votes from fans.  Logic would dictate that it does.  After all, the same people that are buying those jerseys will be casting their vote for the Celtics’ ace.

Rondo is having the best season of his young career and is doing nearly unprecedented things with the basketball.  He trails only Magic Johnson in consecutive 10-plus assist games.

It’s good to see that fans have taken notice of not only his excitement but of what a great player he truly is.
