Doc Rivers revealed in an interview with Bob Ryan of the ABCD camp that Courtney Lee will start until Avery Bradley returns from injury.

The move isn’t too surprising.

Jason Terry is best suited filling his usual sixth man role off the bench, and Courtney Lee is a defender — a really good one — which is something Rivers loves.

Lee is also nearly as good a shooter (at least percentage-wise) as Terry.  Lee has hit over 40 percent from three every NBA season, save his sophomore campaign with New Jersey when his numbers were down across the board.  Last season he was 40.1 percent, and 40.8 percent in 2010-11.

Comparatively, Terry actually shot two to four percent lower than Lee over the last three seasons, and is 38 percent for his career.  Terry is a higher volume shooter, yes, but Lee won’t be called upon to jack up endless threes and jumpers, but rather just hit the ones he does shoot.

Bradley will likely return in mid-December, per Boston Herald report.
