The Big Three To Rest Against The Bobcats

The Celtics have announced that Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will sit out along with Ray Allen as the Celtics travel to Charlotte to take on the Bobcats.

Pierce injured his toe in Saturday’s win over the New Jersey Nets and Kevin Garnett is being rested as a precaution. With the Celtics having to travel back to the New York area for Tuesday’s game against the Knicks, the decision to keep Pierce and Garnett behind was a no brainer.

Ray Allen will miss his fourth-straight game with an ankle injury and has a “50-50″ shot at playing on Tuesday night, according to head coach Doc Rivers.

The Celtics will be featuring a very short bench against the 7-51 Charlotte Bobcats.
