The Boston Celtics outlasted the Chicago Bulls 95-91 Sunday and many pointed to the fact that Derrick Rose was out with an injury as to why the Celtics came away with the win.
Sure, taking the league’s MVP out of any lineup is surely going to set any team back, but they were playing the Celtics, remember the team that was/is no match for any team that could run.
Rondo had a field day against the Rose-less Bulls, but it was the Celtics relentless hustle that helped them win this game and will help them win many more games down the road.
This clip sums it up best as the C’s flat out outworked and outran their opponents to a pair of easy buckets. For a game that was decided by just four points, these plays surely played a huge role in the outcome.
With hustle plays like this, the Celtics are in prime position to make a legitimate run into the post season.
Call me crazy, but a team willing to run this hard in the fourth quarter is a team that is going to give it all they got, no matter the opponent.
