Wow, what a difference a three-game winning streak makes. The Celtics dismantled the Magic two games in a row and are slowly creeping back into the NBA’s social conscience.
Can this team of aging vets climb back into the NBA elite? Only time will tell and only time will tell if the aging Green Team can steal some minutes from father time in order to push the sun back up in the sky for one more run at a championship.
This just may be the inner ramblings of a die hard fan, but believe me, lesser teams have and would have packed it in by now.
Now onto the Pacers and their roots with those Celtics:
A.J. Price and Ray Allen both attended the University of Connecticut.
Jermaine O’Neal played for the Pacers from 2000-08.
Frank Vogel was an assistant coach under Jim O’Brien with the Celtics from 2001-04.
Pacers President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird won three championships with the Celtics and had his #33 retired on 2/4/93.
Pacers Associate Head Coach Brian Shaw was drafted by the Celtics with the 24th overall pick in the 1988 NBA Draft and he appeared in 178 games for the Celtics averaging 11.1 points.
David West and Brandon Bass were teammates in New Orleans from 2005-2007.
Now onto the game, Go Celts.
