President Obama will be in Boston tonight to take part in a political fundraiser at the Museum of Fine Art, and whilst in town will squeeze in some time to talk hoops with the Eastern Conference leaders hosting the Celtics for a private meeting.
Hopefully, the meeting will not be too awkward as Obama happens to be a Chicago Bulls fan and happened to pick the Los Angeles Lakers to beat your Boston Celtics in last year’s NBA Finals. I guess we all have our faults.
Regardless of his political/sporting affiliations, Obama is an avid sports fan I cannot fault him for using his power to meet the most formidable basketball team in all the land. I know I would.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and members of the Massachusetts House delegation are also scheduled to attend.
