One Week Away

As Tom Petty tells us, the waiting is the hardest part. Luckily for Celtics fans, there is only another week left of it.

One week from tonight the 2010-11 NBA regular season will open with the new-look Miami Heat making a visit to TD Garden. And one week from tonight we finally get to see former Celtic Eddie House playing for his original team.

Oh yeah, and these guys presumably too.

One preseason game tomorrow night (and another few days) is all that stands between us and the start of the drive for Banner 18. So with that in mind, here is what you can expect from Hardwood Houdini starting next week. Because once the season begins in earnest, so will the coverage and analysis of both the Celtics and the NBA as a whole.

On Friday we will have the great debate: which team is going to be better, Boston or Miami? I’ll be giving my two cents (actually, five cents really) as will Benny Vargas from Fansided’s Miam Heat blog,  http://allucanheat.com/. That will start a weekend of coverage on the opener that will include an article on the importance of this game as well as a more in-depth Trifecta preview.

Once next week begins you’ll get the inaugural versions of Monday Power Rankings and Wednesday’s Games of the Week. So if you didn’t have enough to look forward to, you’ve got that going for you…which is nice.

The countdown begins now. Bring on the Heat!
