Red Claws Aim To Take Season Series From Springfield

        vs. Springfieldarmor_medium

Today at 1pm the Maine Red Claws will tip-off against one of their main rivals, the Springfield Armor (Affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, and New Jersey Nets). The Red Claws currently hold the season series lead by a narrow margin of 4-3. Today will be the last time the teams face of this season, and the Red Claws hope to take the season series from the team with the worst record in the NBDL.

Last time out against the Springfield the Red Claws lost by the score of 109-100 and were led by former Celtic J.R Giddens, who scored 23 points in the losing effort. In that game the Red Claws went into halftime all nodded up at 51 but a 30-21 third quarter that favored the Armor turned out to be the difference in the ball game.

As they currently stand the Red Claws are tied for second place in their respective division, tied with Sioux Fall. Although the Armor come into the game with a record of 7-35 this is a game the Claws can not afford to let slip away. Coming down the stretch they will need to be able to grab every victory they can and today is no exception to that.

Thanks to the Red Claws kind media relations department I will be at the expo today covering the game for Hardwood Houdini and Gino’s Jungle, as well as the Celtics Late Night Show. Be sure to check out all of those sites for an in-depth look at the hottest ticket in Maine, the Maine Red Claws.
