Its that time of the year again. It’s the part of the NBA season that seperates the men from the boys. In a month and 10 days, we will no longer be talking about the regular season. If you think about it in that respect, this season has gone by awfully fast. With it being that close, slowly you can feel the newfound energy surrounding the Celtics. What comes with that? A few more swear words out of the mouth of KG as he leaves his reserved role and takes on his, “I don’t give a mo… ……. I’m gonna kick the ….. …… and mot…… ….. use your head for a basketball.”
It is quite amazing, yet very amusing that the Celtics television station CSNNE doesn’t even bother delaying the game. Every cuss word, everything is originial and free of editing. Now that is high quality entertainment.
But anways, Garnett has a new look on his face. In the blink of an eye, this season has gone from coasting, to getting it done. Am I only saying this because the Celtics just whooped the Bobcats? Absolutely. But, that game was much, much different than anything I had seen so far this season. KG was explosive, and took offense to his opponent. One time a Bobcats player went up for the lay in and The Big Ticket swatted it out of bounds and all you could hear echoing through the speakers was KG looking up at the crowd yelling, “Yeahhhhh, Yeahhhhhh, Yeahhhhhh, Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” Now thats what I’m talking about. No more block into putting your head down like it wasn’t a big deal.
It should be a fun ride the rest of the way. For all those who took an early leave of absence, your not welcome to enjoy. For me, I am ready to see Garnett turn it up a notch. Its good stuff for him to get in the face of his opponents to tell them who’s boss. When all is said and done, the other team cringes as the freak is let loose. It will be good to see his F bombs being used on the court, instead of in a situation he can’t control (on the bench).
