Kobe Bryant Doubtful For Today's Game Against Celtics

Tomorrow night the two best franchises in the league, the Celtics and Lakers, will tip off at the Staples Center. According to multiple sources the Lakers all time leading scorer, Kobe Bryant, is doubtful for the game due to nagging injuries in his left knee and ankle. This will be his fifth straight game out of the lineup. During this time the Lakers are 4-1.

Via ESPN Los Angeles:

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant told reporters Wednesday that he is doubtful for the Lakers’ Thursday game against the Boston Celtics and expects to miss his fifth straight game, (sixth if you include the All-Star Game), because of a lack of strength and lingering pain in his left leg and ankle.

As a Celtics fan this game will just not be the same without Kobe in the lineup. If the Celtics are able to pull off a win it will just not be the same as a win with Kobe in the lineup. Obviously Lakers fans already have it in their minds that if they do lose they can pull the “Kobe’s hurt card” out of their back pocket.

Now I don’t want to get you confused, I am not saying that the Lakers are a better team without Kobe. What I am saying is that as a Celtics fan this game loses meaning when a guy like Kobe is not in the opposing lineup. I never thought I would say this but really I hope Kobe plays in tomorrow’s game. I’d rather accept a loss with him in the lineup than hear about how we only beat L.A because their best player was hurt. On that note BEAT LA and go Celtics!!!
