Marquis Out For Tuesday’s Game Against Milwaukee

It was less than one hour ago that I posted an article on Marquis Daniels recent struggles, questioning if his hand was, and is, affecting his production. Well guess what? It is. About 15 minutes ago a staff writer from the Boston Globe reported that Marquis Daniels will not play in Tuesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

“Guard Marquis Daniels sat out most of Sunday’s practice and will miss the Celtics’ game against Milwaukee Tuesday with hand and wrist injuries. Daniels, who was injured last month, said he aggravated the injury early in the training session.”

It is still not a definite that the hand injury was causing the slight decrease in Quis’s production, but it is becoming more and more obvious. I am really hoping this is not going to be a serious injury and Marquis will be back on the floor in no time.

For now, maybe this opens up some minutes for a guy like Lester Hudson. I would really like to see Lester get some of these minutes, as he has shown nothing but positive signs when on the floor. It is also a possibility that we will see Tony Allen get some minutes out of this deal. If Eddie House has to take over the point guard position, then that will leave some quality minutes for a guy like TA to take at the shooting guard position.

As marquis’ playing time has gone down Boston chemistry has been better imo. I do not like his minutes up at 20-25 if he is playing in lieu of rondo. I am not a fan of rondo at the end of games but he is key to their chemistry. I hate to say it but at times I wish we had alien boy back bc I don’t like the chemistry factor with marquis and alien boy could only steal so many minutes.

I realize the stat line is down for Marquis but We do not need another shooter/scorer we need a distributor when Rondo is out of the game. boston is almost too deep. hopefully doc will get the chemistry figured out and it isn’t just bc marquis is injured. That is my take.

Thanks for the comment. We will see when he comes back if it was his hand or not.
