The Boston Celtics returned from the All-Star break with a bang, earning a 20-point win over the Philadelphia 76ers. They’ve been on a roll for a while and will look to continue their success with a home game against the New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon, a team they dominated in a game right before the All-Star break.

New York currently sits in third place in the East, three games behind the Celtics in second. Boston will have a chance to ruin the Knicks’ chance at hitting 40 wins before 20 losses, which is commonly seen as the marker for a championship-level team.

Here is the Celtics injury report for their game against the Knicks on Sunday, February 22.

  • Josh Hart AVAILABLE (knee)
  • Mitchell Robinson OUT (ankle)

Before the break, the Celtics were dealing with a few minor bumps and bruises. Jaylen Brown missed the last two games before All-Star weekend, and Jrue Holiday missed the final four. However, both returned for the first game after the break and seem to be good to go.

Xavier Tillman is slated to miss his second straight game due to left knee inflammation. He was also out in the Celtics’ win over the Sixers, though he hasn’t been a regular part of the rotation this season.

The new name on the injury report is Neemias Queta. He’s dealing with a non-covid-related illness and will be out for Sunday afternoon’s affair.

The Knicks are dealing with more significant injuries than the Celtics.

OG Anunoby headlines their injury report. He was questionable to play due to a foot issue. Anunoby missed six games in a row with a toe injury before returning on February 21 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, Anunoby will play against the Celtics.

In addition to that, Josh Hart was questionable to play due to a knee issue, but he will make his return to the lineup against Boston. Mitchell Robinson is also out with an ankle injury. He has yet to play in a game this season but was just recently cleared to play in five-on-five practices.
