Boston Celtics trade target No. 2) Bogdan Bogdanovic

Jumping on the concept of the ineptitude of this Boston Celtics team to find a way to put the ball in the basket, another player that Danny Ainge is rumored to have interest in is Atlanta Hawks wing, Bogdan Bogdanovic.

An optimal replacement for the role that Gordon Hayward left behind this past offseason as a tertiary scoring option, the 28-year-old swingman could be that much-needed spark plug off the pine that this underwhelming shamrocks team desperately needs.

As a unit, Boston’s bench ranks 26th in points per game (32.3) and 18th in offensive rating (56.3).

To say the Serbian native wouldn’t be welcomed to this unit with open arms would be an absolute farce.

Now look, we understand that Bogdanovic’s season averages of just 9.6 points on 39 percent shooting from the field may not have you believe he’d be a good grab for Boston. However, the majority of this Hawks team was underwhelming whilst under the control of former head coach Lloyd Pierce.

Since Nate McMillan was named interim coach earlier this month, the entire level of play for the Hawks has managed to improve drastically — this includes Bogdanovic.

Just looking at his last five games, the wing has managed to post averages of 12.8 points on 49 percent shooting from the floor and 40 percent shooting from deep.

Also, keep in mind, this is still the same player who managed to post 15.1 points on 44 percent shooting from the floor and 37 percent shooting from deep last season.

Perhaps best viewed as a buy-low option, Bogdan Bogdanovic should be a player monitored closely during these next few days.
