Boston Celtics: 3 trade targets to pursue NOT named Aaron Gordon

There are a few other players NOT named Aaron Gordon that the Boston Celtics should consider pursuing
The NBA’s trade season is officially in full swing and Boston Celtics fans are finding their favorite franchise’s name seemingly linked to every big-name player reportedly on the market.
The most recent rumor that has begun to circulate pertains to a potential deal between the shamrocks and the Orlando Magic that would involve power forward Aaron Gordon heading north to Massachusetts.
Seen as the frontrunner for the 25-year-old big, many anticipate a deal could get done at any moment between now and the March 25th deadline.
However, while Gordon is certainly a talented player in his own right — posting per-game averages of 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists on 40 percent shooting from deep –, many are questioning whether he alone would be enough to bring this team out of their sub-.500 rut.
The Boston Celtics are a team with plenty of holes within their rotation that need filling and any number of players could be of great benefit for them moving forward through the year.
While we’re not saying the Cs shouldn’t consider trading for the Magic’s athletic big man, we at HH believe there are a few other players NOT named Aaron Gordon that the front office should monitor closely as we approach the deadline:
Boston Celtics trade target No. 1) Evan Fournier
First on the list we find ourselves staying in the Sunshine State with Gordon’s own teammate, Evan Fournier.
A true marksman from beyond the 3-point line on an expiring contract, the 28-year-old wing is a player we’ve seen linked to the Boston Celtics a few times over the past several seasons and, even in regard to talks involving AG, we’ve seen Fournier’s name included.
Having one of his best seasons as a pro, the French-born baller is finding himself averaging 19.1 points, 3.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and over a steal per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep.
This season, aside from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Cs have struggled mightily in the scoring department. Bringing on a close to 20 point-per-game scorer who just recently dropped 31 on the title favorite Brooklyn Nets is certainly not a bad option for Ainge to consider pursuing, especially if he can be had with a potential AG deal.
