Boston Celtics trade No. 2) A swap of picks with the New York Knicks

This is a trade that we have proposed quite a few times in the past.

In fact, earlier this week, we discussed this situation as well and deemed it more beneficial for the New York Knicks at this current period of time than any other throughout this year’s offseason.

"This hypothetical deal brings in a player that is highly coveted by the Celtics franchise, while also giving the rebuilding Knicks more draft-capital to better fill their roster with inexpensive deals. This latter point also could be extremely useful for New York, as they are rumored to be interested in pursuing point guard Russell Westbrook which, in all likelihood, means they want to be competitive as soon as 2020-21. This deal would give them a total of 4 first-rounders, including a lottery pick, which would help better fill out the roster, providing the All-Star with more talents to work with than what the team currently has should they actually strike a deal for him."

Should they actually acquire the former league MVP, this hypothetical deal could prove to be quite beneficial for the Knicks, and it could also help the Boston Celtics land the highly coveted Isaac Okoro.
