Sharpshooter Boston Celtics should pursue No. 2) Justin Holiday

The idea of adding the 3-and-D wing to the Boston Celtics is nothing new to the Houdini.

In fact, just recently we listed Justin Holiday as a high-impact free-agent the shamrocks should pursue this offseason. The concept of adding the 31-year-old just makes a lot of sense for this Cs secondary.

"An underrated 3-and-D role player, the seventh-year veteran found himself posting his best career numbers in 2019-20. Through 73 games the shooting guard put forth solid averages of 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.2 steals per game on 43 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from downtown. The 6-8 wing possesses a nice combination of offensive and defensive skills that would only help Boston bolster their oh so putrid second-unit."

Thrusting him into the rotation alongside a guy like Marcus Smart off the pine would both help the team’s second-unit defensively — where they ranked third in the league during the 2019-20 campaign — and offensively, specifically in the long-range department (36 percent career 3-point shooter).

Should he be willing to sign for the MLE, a Boston – Holiday pairing would make a whole lot of sense for both parties.
