Sacramento Kings trade target: Richaun Holmes

Richaun Holmes ended up playing a bigger role on the 2019-20 Sacramento Kings than what was expected. The injuries suffered by Marvin Bagley should not still be a problem when the young squad takes to the Lake Buena Vista bubble to claw for a play-in game, meaning Holmes could see fewer minutes in the final eight regular-season games.

Holmes has responded with a career-high in points (12.8), rebounds (8.3), assists (1), steals (1) and blocks (1.4) on 65 percent shooting. Making just $5 million, Holmes could be a direct trade fit with Enes Kanter.

Phoenix Suns trade target: Cameron Johnson

With the cap set to fall and the Boston Celtics already being on the hook for several big salaries in the coming years, cost-controlled youth is the desired goal. The C’s have that, but perhaps they can find better fitting youth elsewhere.

The Suns have a versatile wing that would provide even more versatility for the C’s switch-y lineup in Cameron Johnson that the team should look at. Fellow 2019 first-round pick Romeo Langford is one trade option, but several draft picks could also entice a rebuilding Suns team to deal the 24-year-old rookie.

Golden State Warriors trade target: Eric Paschall

The leading scorer for a large chunk of the season was not supposed to be 2019 second-round pick Eric Paschall. Steph Curry, D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green were supposed to keep the team competing for a playoff spot, but injuries derailed this season before it could get off the ground. A lackluster bench was also a culprit.

Either way, Paschall responded with a stat line of 14 points, five rebounds, and two assists on 50 percent shooting. While his 3-pointer is a work in progress, you figure it improves with a more talented C’s squad than the depleted Warriors that took the floor in 2019-20.

His sort of doggedness could mix well with Marcus Smart‘s tenacity and Enes Kanter’s never-say-die attitude on the second unit. His contract would also help the team’s efforts to getting more value than what they’re spending as Boston’s big deals escalate in the coming years.
