Los Angeles Lakers trade target: Alex Caruso

Truthfully, the Los Angeles Lakers may value Alex Caruso too much to ever give up on him in a deal. Caruso has risen to become somewhat of a half-serious deity due to his explosive athleticism and the cult-like following he has amassed because of his highlights and on-court production.

L.A. lucked out seeing Caruso expand his upon play after limited run until the end of last season when the team was out of contention. They got him for a bargain ($2.75 million in 2020-21) and are getting mid-level exception level contributions from minimum contract value.

It’d be unknown just what would get a deal done because of the discrepancy between his perception and his output but Caruso’s across-the-board contributions would be a perfect spark plug for a sometimes lethargic C’s bench.

Los Angeles Clippers trade target: Landry Shamet

Landry Shamet has two more years until he is owed significant money. Until then, he is the perfect type of low-risk, high-reward gambles the team could make to bolster their wing depth. The Los Angeles Clippers were able to get draft picks in addition to Shamet for Tobias Harris from the Philadelphia 76ers. Now, the C’s should target the second-year swingman after the Clippers have de-emphasized his role this past season.

Despite his loss of a starting role, he still shot the lights out of the ball. His 39 percent 3-point shooting on over five attempts per game fits on any team across the league. Boston’s switchability already in place would be nicely complemented by Shamet’s defensive profile.
