Player Cs should scout No. 1: Paul Millsap, PF

First up on our list we have the starting power forward for the title-contending Denver Nuggets, Paul Millsap.

Currently in his 14th year in the association, and the final year of his contract in the Mile High City, Millsap has proven to be an excellent, multi-faceted talent in this league throughout his career and, frankly, would be a fantastic add for the Boston Celtics this offseason, especially if he’d be willing to accept the Mid-Level-Exception.

Now, while some may believe his production from this year’s campaign should warrant him more than a simple MLE, with his age — will be 36 come the mid-way point next season — coupled with the likely diminished salary-cap situation thanks to COVID-19, such an offer might be the norm for Millsap this offseason.

Through 44 games played, the four-time All-Star finds himself averaging 24.4 minutes to go along with 12 points, 5.9 rebounds, and just shy of a steal per game on 49 percent shooting from the floor and an impressive 44 percent shooting from downtown.

With the fact that the Boston Celtics need to bolster their talent within their frontcourt rotation and improve upon their perimeter scoring off the bench (rank 27th in the league) it would appear that someone of the power forward’s skill set could be of some use for the team as it’s primary backup big.
