The first trade proposal here lands the All-NBA center for a big part of the Boston Celtics core. Seeing Jaylen Brown shipped off is difficult considering his ascent this season. Even watching Gordon Hayward get dealt is a blow to fans who have been waiting several years to see this efficient and bouncy version of the 2017 All-Star.

When it comes to landing an All-Star starter who can change the trajectory of a franchise (since his first full season, the 76ers have made the playoffs every year), you have to sacrifice that kind of value.

In fact, all deals will require at least one of Brown or Hayward’s deals to make the money work. In this iteration of the deal, the 76ers add the versatility of Brown and Hayward in a switchable, big lineup of Simmons-Brown-Hayward-Harris-Horford.

Boston gets their All-Star center to permanently answer questions regarding the team’s big men. In addition, they get a player in Josh Richardson who could slide into the starting guard spot or prop up the bench if the C’s decides to start Marcus Smart.
