Boston Celtics fans, I have a feeling that the NBA trade deadline is going to come and go without much action from Trader Danny and company.

According to the latest round of NBA trade rumors that I am following, the Celtics are not planning on being very busy today:

That’s not to say there isn’t any chatter involving the Celtics – I keep hearing stories about the Houston Rockets being interested in making a play for Rajon Rondo – but it would appear that the Celtics are not receiving any “can’t miss” offers that would motivate them to move a player like Rondo or give up some of the draft picks they have stockpiled.

Keep in mind that the Celtics still have sought-after pieces such as Brandon Bass and Avery Bradley, who may wind up being dealt in small deals later today.  For those of looking to see the Celtics make a big splash by trading away Rondo for two unprotected lottery picks, or acquiring a somewhat-big name player such as Omer Asik, though, there’s always the offseason to look forward to!

That’s it for now, but things change, so keep your eyes and ears open, and come back later today to see if there’s any more news to report!
