Boston Celtics - Houston Rockets: Fan Picks!

Hardwood Houdini readers, I love the Boston Celtics.

Even this season, when the team is struggling to stay afloat after trading away a future-Hall-of-Famer in Paul Pierce, I enjoy watching the Celtics play.  Better yet, I get to write about the Celtics, which is literally a dream come true, albeit a dream that was 41-years in the making.

Still, what makes this gig at Hardwood Houdini so appealing is being able to share my opinion with fans, and then having those same fans share their opinions back, resulting in an exchanging of ideas that often opens the doors to some really good conversation down the road.  When I’m on Twitter during the game, it’s great to see people retweeting or replying to what I Tweet, and I make it a point to reply back.

So far, I have not had the chance to interact with many fans here on the Hardwood Houdini site.  These fan picks threads, though, are my way of changing that.

It’s simple: I throw out three options, you make your picks, and at the end of the night I tally up all the points to see who gets bragging rights.  It’s just one more way to make the game enjoyable, and to have your voice be heard here on the site.

If you’re reading this, go on: make your picks, and see how you do!

Question to consider:

1. Who scores the first points of the game tonight?  Pick the team (3 pts.) and the scorer (6 pts.)!

2. I’ll set the over under at 210.5 points.  Do these teams combine to score more, or less, than 210?  (3 pts.)

3. Pick tonight’s leading scorer for each team (3 pts. each) and their point totals within 5 points (6 pts. each).

As always, I’ll get the picks started, but don’t be shy: hop in, and as always, feel free to chat with me during tonight’s game @theamazingMrS!
