The End is Near! Jordan Crawford is the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week!

How ’bout that, Hardwood Houdini fans?

As I was monitoring my Twitter timeline today, I came across this beauty of a Tweet:

It’s times like this when I feel especially intelligent, since I just published a piece on why Crawford deserves to be considered for the Most Improved Player Award based on his body of work through the first 25% of Boston’s schedule this year.  Yeah – I’m that good.

Crawford was a huge reason why the Celtics were the only team in the East to finish last week undefeated, as he averaged 23.3 points on 61% shooting – 61%!  Goodness.  The man connected on 12 of 23 shots from beyond the arc, including 6 yesterday in Boston’s thrashing of the New York Knicks, and is quickly becoming a fan favorite to the Boston faithful.

Crawford is playing so well, he Tweeted this question to ESPN analyst Bill Simmons:

@BillSimmons you mad?  lol

I’m assuming that Tweet was a shot back at Simmons’ saying it was going to be a long year for the Celtics, in response to Crawford’s expressing that he wanted to be more of a leader this year.  Or it could be in response to Simmons’ argument that Boston should tank this season in order to land a high draft pick.

Either way, it’s Steez’s world, and we’re just living in it right about now!  Congrats, and keep it up!
