Boston Celtics star point guard Rajon Rondo was lead by Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce over the last few years and is now the leader of this new Celtics team in their absence. Rondo followed these two on the court, and now he’ll follow Kevin Garnett off of it as well. Rondo will be making the move to the Chinese shoe company Anta.
Reds Army had noted, last week, that this change may be coming. They pointed out that the company had a silhouette on the site that had an outline that looked a lot like Rajon Rondo. Now, over the weekend, the Boston Globe reported that Rondo would be leaving Nike for Anta.
Rajon Rondo has rehabilitated quietly from his torn right anterior cruciate ligament, but could make headlines off the court by potentially changing shoe companies from Nike to Anta, the Chinese company that nabbed former Celtic Kevin Garnett a few years ago.

Rondo isn’t the only NBA superstar to ditch Nike for a Chinese shoe company in recent years. Just last year, Dwyane Wade left Jordan to move on to Li-Ning. Nike will now be forced to make a move and try to find another superstar to market their brand. With as big of a deal as they are, it shouldn’t be too hard.
