NBA Trade Rumors: Kevin Garnett Says No To The Denver Nuggets

Just a few days ago it was rumored that the Los Angeles Clippers were interested in Kevin Garnett, and now the Denver Nuggets have expressed interest. Unfortunately for Denver, Kevin Garnett doesn’t feel the same.

From Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post -

So what’s the problem with pushing the idea of a blockbuster trade between Denver and Boston? Wielding the hammer of a no-trade clause, K.G. wants nothing to do with the Nuggets.

Through his representatives, Garnett has let it be known he has no current interest in the Nuggets.

Yesterday, Kevin Garnett had this to say, and from his reaction, there is no team he’d rather play for than the Boston Celtics.

I bleed green, I die green”

Of course, it all comes down to Danny Ainge and what he feels is necessary for the team moving forward. But in the eyes of Denver, making the attempt at Garnett was worth the shot. The Nuggets already have a good core of players, they’re fifth in the Western Conference, and adding Garnett to a roster that has Andre Iguodala and Danilo Gallinari would propel Denver to possibly winning the NBA title.

Garnett has made it clear that he wants to play in green and for no one else, unless Paul Pierce gets traded, then the Los Angeles Clippers enter the mix. His loyalty to the team is amazing, and he hasn’t changed since his days in Minnesota, that’s just who he is. Knowing Danny Ainge, the next few games are what’s going to motivate him to either keep the team intact or make major changes. Whatever happens in the near future, Kevin Garnett’s loyalty and heart to this team cannot be measured, and he is the true definition of Celtics Pride.
