Rasheed Wallace Set to Play Mavericks

So Scal did his job. He came in, messed up a little, helped a little, did about what we expected. He is definitely not Kevin Garnett, and he is not Rasheed Wallace. Great minutes Scal, now it is time for this team to get back on track. Sheed will play in the game against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday according to the Boston Globe’s Frank Dell’Apa:

“Rasheed Wallace plans to play in Monday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks after missing three games with a foot sprain.”

“Wallace participated in a light practice Saturday, much of the one-hour session involving dunking and shooting contests. The winners were: Eddie House (3-Pointers and free throws) and J.R. Giddens (dunk).

For some reason, I would rather watch Sheed take 3’s than Scalabrine. Both players are either on or off. The difference is Sheed can do many things that Scal just can’t. Scal plays good defense, but he can’t block a shot, nor can he grab a board over any other player on the court. We should see a big difference in the way the team plays simply from this return. As the injuried begin to walk back onto the court one by one, this season shoudl begin to get a little more interesting.
