Monday night marked another tough home loss for the Boston Celtics, as they fell to the Houston Rockets. It was a heartbreaking finish, with Amen Thompson delivering the dagger with just a few seconds to go. But the Celtics have no time to put their heads down, as they’ll be back in action on Wednesday, welcoming the Chicago Bulls to TD Garden.
Chicago, meanwhile, has fully embraced the tank. They are 2-7 in their last 11 games, though they did just pick up a win over the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Led by Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, the Bulls have gone 1-2 against the Celtics so far this season.
Here is the Celtics injury report for their game against the Bulls on Wednesday, January 29.
Celtics injury report vs. Bulls on Wednesday, January 29
- Jayson Tatum AVAILABLE (left knee tendinopathy)
- Al Horford OUT (left big toe sprain)
- Sam Hauser OUT (right hip impingement)
Bulls injury report vs. Celtics on Wednesday, January 29
- Zach LaVine OUT (personal)
- Torrey Craig OUT (ankle)
- Coby White AVAILABLE (ankle)
Jayson Tatum highlights the Celtics’ injury report for Monday’s game against the Bulls. He was listed as questionable to play due to left knee tendinopathy but has since been made available.
The Celtics superstar is known for his dislike of sitting out games, though Boston could afford to find him some extra rest days here and there.
Meanwhile, Al Horford, who was a very late scratch against the Rockets, is back on the injury report with the same left big toe sprain that he’s been listed with for the better part of the last two years. He was questionable to play but has since been downgraded to out.
Sam Hauser was also questionable for Wednesday’s game against Chicago, as he’s dealing with a right hip impingement. Hauser did not play on Monday against Houston and is now out against Chicago, too.
Chicago’s injury report is spearheaded by Zach LaVine. The Bulls star is out for personal reasons and slated to miss “the next few games,” via KC Johnson of Chicago Sports Network.
Coby White was questionable to play due to an ankle injury but has since been made available. He will have a minute restriction of roughly 25-28 minutes. Torrey Craig is out (also with an ankle injury).
