Boston Celtics target No. 2) Bruce Brown

Starting off our list we have the potential feel-good story of bringing Bruce Brown back to eastern Massachusetts to have play a significant role for his hometown team, the Boston Celtics.

Born and raised in the Boston area, it’s safe to say that the wing is already quite familiar with the culture that this organization strives to showcase, while his attributes on the hardwood are what this squad could absolutely need within their second-unit rotation.

At least, that’s what Brad Stevens has gone on record to state, claiming that the C’s will be looking to add players that don’t ‘take away from the group’ or, in other words, infringe on their defensive excellence and who can add “consistent offense.”

Brown literally fits both of these descriptions to a tee.

Just this past season, the 25-year-old finished things off with solid averages of nine points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 50.6 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from distance whilst boasting the second-best defensive box plus-minus rating on the Brooklyn Nets.

In the playoffs, however, is where Brown truly showed out for his club, as he went on to average 14 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists on 56.8 percent shooting from the field and 42.9 percent shooting from deep during their Nets’ sweep-defeat against Boston.

With Ime Udoka’s scheme heavily focused on strong two-way play and high-octane 3-point shooting, one could argue that Brown is tailor-made for this Boston Celtics roster.
