3 Boston Celtics trade targets with Kemba Walker TPE
Boston Celtics TPE target No. 3) Donte DiVincenzo
I know I am pushing it a bit with a header, but Bucks shooting guard, Donte DiVincenzo, did indeed win an NBA championship with Milwaukee despite missing the entirety of their playoff run.
DD would be perfect as a Boston Celtic, as he’s a tenacious defender who can stretch the floor whilst being an incredible compliment to a team’s stars.
His defensive prowess allows him to take the tougher defensive assignments away from the Jays by guarding the opposing team’s best perimeter player. This move would only serve to solidify the C’s top five defensive rank.
In spite of a down shooting season, Divincenzo is more than capable of bouncing back as he shot a steady 38 percent from distance in the 2020-21 season. To go from being a regular full-time starter to a bench piece may have been the cause for this slump.
The defensive stalwart is simply out of rhythm, but we know he was a standout at Villanova, leading that team to a National Championship, and is now a solid contributor on an NBA champion in the Milwaukee Bucks.
Donte is a winning player who makes winning plays on both end of the floor, and a change of scenery to Beantown could do wonders for his career.
The 6-4 guard is still only 25 years young and his best years are ahead of him.
